The Joy of Less
The Everyday Minimalist is giving away a copy of The Joy of Less.
I've just submitted my entry and I do hope to win a copy. :)
The book is basically about de-cluttering your life to get more out of it.
You can read more about it here.
Enough is Enough
An interestring read to help us not want more & enjoy the simple things in life. (via RowdyKittens)
The most enlightening part of the article for me:
"The act of creating increases our capacity for enjoyment. When you make something, build something or imagine a new idea, you understand its nuances, its intricacies, its complexities. This knowledge increases your appreciation of the art and the satisfaction you derive from enjoying the final product."
Minimalism & Decisions
"At its core, Minimalism is about being aware that every decision you make is a value proposition, and that you need to judge how the consequences fit with your goals."

Project 333: Minimalist Fashion #project333
Inspired by Courtney Carver and her readers, I'm ready to take on Project 333.
The Basics (via Courtney's blog Be more with less)
- When: January 1 – March 31, 2011
- What: 33 items including clothing, accessories, jewelry, outerwear and shoes.
- What not: these items are not counted as part of the 33 items – wedding ring or other sentimental piece of jewelry that you never take off, underwear, sleep wear, in-home lounge wear, and workout clothing (you can only wear your workout clothing to workout)
- How: Choose your 33 items, box up the remainder of your fashion statement, seal it with tape and put it out of site.
- What else: consider that you are creating a wardrobe that you can live, work and play in for three months. Remember that this is not a project in suffering. If your clothes don’t fit or are in poor condition, replace them.
The other rules can be found here.

My Threebies (exceptions)

- Out of the country clothes (sweaters, jackets, ties) - Stuff I don't wear in Singapore due to the weather. I'm just too lazy to take them out of the storage box when I have to travel.
- Occasional clothes (board shorts, running shoes) - Rarely worn.
